A Huge Thanks!
Just wanted to send all who have donated a huge thanks! Puddles shoes have been bought, her suit, and other accessories to go with her costumes. With less than a week to go, it seems apparent that we will not meet our goal, and therefore will not be attending the March competition. Although this upsets her greatly, she understands, and is grateful for getting the things that she was able to get, so thanks for that! I am still hoping that during these last few days, we will reach our goal. Please keep spreading the word to help make this happen.Â

a huge thank you to those who have donated! THANK YOU! we have purchased both pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of tights, and the cover-up suit. naturally, only one pair of shoes were in stock in her size, so the other should be here by Monday at the latest. The cover-up suit is also a special-order item, and should be in the same time as the shoes! our next hurdle is the expenses for the competition coming up March 20-22, 2009 in Chattanooga, TN. please see below for the details. and THANKS AGAIN!

My daughter, whom I call Puddles, has been participating in Dance Troupe since last August. She began with a sponsor, however, that business closed and she is left without financial support. After all her hard work for all these months, the thought of having to pull her out right before the national competitions just breaks my heart.
I suffered like many others during the dramatic fall of the stock market, and I no longer have the extra funds for this activity. I have been working 60+ hours per week for the past 3 weeks trying to keep both my small business and my father's company going. He recently suffered a serious illness that forced him into critical care for several weeks and is now confined to his bed. I can provide anyone with detailed expense reports and/or receipts if they would like to see them, and will send each person who donates an update, if they desire. The first competition is March 20-22, 2009 in Chattanooga, TN. I have already received a donation for the entry fees, however, Puddles will need two pairs of shoes, tights, and her cover-up suit. These prices are listed below. The hotel is the Hampton Inn, $89.00 per night for two nights. Then there is the cost of the gas and food. *sigh* capezio pednini femme #pp323 caramel $45.00.....capezio economy jazz shoe #358 black $30.00.....capezio hold and stretch footed tights style 14 caramel $10.00 ea (would need at least 3 pair).....custom cover-up suit $60.00Â I am not putting a limit on this chipin due to the fact that any donations over the cost of this competition will go towards the April competition. The reason it has such a close "end date" is due to the fact that the suit will have to be ordered and shoes sized. I am thanking each and every contributor ahead of time. For a child who struggles in school with an auditory disorder, dance has become the one thing that she takes endless pride in and can do well. Thank you. |
